If you have come to Örnsköldsvik as a migrant or a refugee and have been given a residence permit, you are entitled to support and guidance from the Municipality's integration unit.
The integration unit is located at Lasarettsgatan 7 B in Örnsköldsvik.
It is open for visitors on Mondays and Tuesdays between 12:30–15:00, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 09:00-11:00 and 12:30–15:00, Fridays 12:30-15:00. You may reach the unit by calling the Municipal Contact centre, Telephone: +46(0)660-880 74.
Adults can study Swedish for immigrants (sfi) as a part of the Municipality's adult education. The course gives information about the Swedish language, society and working life. Children of school age receive language support at school.

If you need the help of an interpreter to communicate with the Municipality or another authority, the authority that you wish to speak with is responsible for hiring an interpreter. The interpreter is sworn to professional secrecy and is not allowed to disclose the content or nature of your conversation.
Everyone, regardless of their origin, is welcome to visit our Multicultural Centre. Here, persons who are new in Sweden can make contacts and participate in various activities.
